Hey hey. No new news on the baby front, except that my mom will be here for the birth. She arrives at SJO (the airport here) at 2:30 today. I can't wait! I have seen a few fellow bloggers blog about the most influential people in their lives and have noticed in many an absence of parents from their list. If I were to blog such a list, and maybe I will sometime soon, both my parents would be near the top. When I was in high school, it was just my mom and I. We became friends instead of just mom and son. Yeah, she still asked me to clean my room and stuff, but we spent a lot of time just hanging out at Wendy's or Tim Hortons.
That's all for now. Please keep mom in prayer as she will be here for 3 weeks. Pray for her adjustment to a new culture and also as she learns (or is it built in?) to be a grandmother starting this weekend.

Hey Ell, I think your mom's great, too! She left a lasting impression on me as a genuinely kind and loving person:)
We will be thinking of you all while you wait for baby # 1 - it's a major moment in life for sure!!
And the grandmother part is built in - I think you'll find it has kicked in when you pick her up at the airport, before the baby even arrives, the 'Grandmother' is there.
On a side note, one of the most joyful things about having a child is seeing your parents being grandparents and loving and enjoying that child in a way that only they could! It's pretty magical really- and brings much happiness to this household!!
