Well, today went well. And as expected, I'm exausted. I was talking with a prof after preaching this morning and I told him that there seems to be nothing that drains my energy like preaching. I don't know why that is, but I doknow that it's a common feeling among preachers that they need te afternoon to relax after they've preached.
I spoke to the student body of the Language School on our view of Grace and how it relates to spiritual warfare. The premise being, if Satan ccan pevert our understtanding of Grace to a point that we feel we need to do stuff (read spiritual books, spend time with our kids, read the bible, etc), even good stuff, in order to be loved by God and in order to be effective missionaris, then Satann has won. My one point was "Just Love Jesus." I've recently begun re-reading the Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning and God has been reminding me that Grace is the backbone of our faith.
Well, I'm off to grill a couple burgers, watch Scrubs and hit the sack early. By the way, we also did some familly pics today, thought you might like em :)
