I, Dena, am blogging this time, because Elliott has been quite busy, and I am getting anxious to post these pics of Micaiah eating. On Aug 10th he began his foray into the world of solids with rice cereal (brown organic rice, of course) . I have chosen to make all his food, which so far, is going well. The first spoonful was readily accepted, although accompanied by a puzzled look. By the third bite he was using his whole body to lunge for the spoon! The next food on his menu was avocado, which he loves. Next he added carrots, then bananas to his repertoire. And recently, he sampled broccoli, which he could not get enough of. I hope he holds on to his good eating habits for years to come. In the meantime he looks really cute making a huge mess. I have had to switch him from his highchair to his carseat to eat, because that way I can harness him in and better keep him in one place. He has started to talk to me lately as he eats. He says such profound things as “ga ga” and “fumphss”(spraying food everywhere). He even smacks his lips together and says “ma ma ma”. He is such a sweetie. I love him, and I love being a mommy!

I was about to say the same thing, but of course, Tammy beat me to it, and Jess made the second... man, going back to work sure has taken time away from my blogging, and commenting! He is so cute, and Gabby wants to know when she gets a date! We have to somehow get these two together!!!! I miss y'all, and can't wait to meat Kai!

It's true, he looks just like Ell, but when he was born he looked just like my baby pics. I am so curious to see who he will look like as he grows up. I love my little guy, and my big one, too.
