Pregnancy Update #2:
*Disclaimer: For those that have no patience (or time) and just want to know info about the baby, scroll down to the bottom, but if you really love us, you'll read the whole blog.
What a day we've had! We left this morning for our Doctor's appointment, and got to his office with my mom about 20 minutes before the appointment. After sitting there for a few, I noticed that the light wasn't on in the doc's office and decided that I would go and check out what was going on with the nurse. Just as I got to the desk, Dena was informered that the Doc was on the phone for her. Turns out he was at the hospital delivering his second baby of the day.
We rescheduled for early this afternoon and went over to the mall for a few hours to just look around and grab some lunch. And what a lunch! We each had tico style lunches including Chicken, quasadilla's and soup. Wow! Awesome! Below are some pics.
Anyway, after walking around we wandered into a baby store (go figure). I never knew that baby stores could be dangerous, but I was wrong. While looking at crib bedding, I pulled one off the shelf and when I did, about 5 or 6 other sets came flying of the shelf above my head and hit me like a ton of bricks. After picking myself up off the floor, I think my mom felt bad for me because she bought us some of the bedding ;)
And here is the news that everyone is waiting for. When we did get to the Doc's office and waited another hour for him to show up, he told us that even if she seemed ready, he was hoping he wasn't going to have to induce. He had delivered 3 babies in 12 hours and wanted to go home and sleep. But what he found was that Dena is ready to pop. In the end he told us that he expects to see us this weekend, but just in case we have made an appointment for 8am Monday morning for an induction. So there it is. By Monday (maybe Tuesday if the baby is really stubborn) we will be parents.
I guess all that's left is to say "Stay Tuned!"
